LOOK BACK
never look back
“Never Look Back” captures the raw energy and urgency of survival as a lone zebra charges forward, hooves kicking up a swirling cloud of dust. Rendered in graphite on paper, this dramatic piece conveys a powerful sense of movement, with the zebra’s muscles tense and its stripes blurring by dust and speed. The unseen force behind it adds to the tension—what is it running from? In the zebra’s world, hesitation can mean the difference between life and death. Yet, beyond the literal, the title speaks to a deeper truth: in life, we cannot dwell on the past. Like the zebra, we must keep moving forward, focused on what lies ahead, setting our sights on new horizons rather than looking back at what cannot be changed.
